From our Principal
As we approach the end of the year I would like to thank you all for your amazing support. This has not been an easy year but with your support we are almost there.
Staffing and class structures 2023:
As I said in my last update this is an extremely busy and stressful time of year with regards to staffing. I am still finalising some places so cannot confirm who will be in specific class rooms. However, at this stage, the class structure will be as follows:
I can confirm that Mrs Newton is retiring, Mrs Paskett is on a year’s leave through the deferred salaries scheme, Mrs Hughes is staying at Beaumaris PS for 2023, Mrs Adams and Mrs Hunter-Smith are leaving, Mrs Smith is staying at Marri Grove PS for Semester 1 and Mrs Taylor and Mrs Loffelmann will be sharing a class. I am not sure what Mrs Fitzgerald’s plans are at this stage.
Mrs Kate Hopkins, Mrs Larissa Fraser, Mrs Sarah Reagon and Ms Emma Nelson will be joining the staff.
Last Friday we were treated to a fantastic assembly by our Pre-primary students. The children spoke beautifully and were on stage for more than an hour. Their behaviour was outstanding. It was a fitting final class assembly for Mrs Newton and the students did her proud. Well done Mrs Newton, Mrs Reagon, Mrs Bartley, Mrs Culff and Mrs Davies.
Our book award assembly will be this Friday in the undercover area at 8.45 am.
The Year Six Graduation Ceremony will take place at 8.45am on Tuesday 13th December.
Carols by Candlelight:
This will take place on the school oval from 5.30pm. Please bring along a picnic. Further details will be sent out later this week.
Semester 2 formal reports will be sent by email next week.
The P&C recently sent out a survey asking parent opinion on a variety of matters including uniform and how we organise special events. Your views are really important and will shape the way forward.
If your child is not returning in 2023 can you please let the office know if you haven’t already done so?
